Trainer Jeannie, Education Director & Head Trainer

Trainer Jeannie, BA, MA, CPDT-KA has a vibrant and rich educational background, ranging from working to pet dog training and canine care to healthy living, fitness and personal growth. She has lived off and on in New York City for a number years, working in the health and canine industry and has been integrating her special background to provide a unique education for dogs and their owners. She hopes that you will meet her at the Learning Center to unleash your dog's health and happiness, and possibly your own. She can recommend all the best restaurants and shops and places to go for the loving dog owner looking to find his or her inner Zen or indulge in healthy-minded courses or activities.

Jeannie grew up in a small town, raising and caring for a wide variety of animals, and discovered her love of dogs at a very young age. Her personal dogs have appeared in film, TV and charity fundraisers, and she actively searches for canine talent potential for All Tame Animals Agency. She has traveled extensively and has lived in Paris, Barcelona, Berlin and Switzerland. She is proficient in French, German, and knows some Spanish and Japanese. She is also a musician and artist, and talented composer. But wherever she has been, there has always been a furry four-legged friend by her side. Her favorite saying is that dogs are "love beyond words" and dog training is an "art of that love." When the skill, craft, science and humanity come together, a beautiful and extraordinary human and canine bond can be achieved, so that owners and their dogs can live healthy, happy and well-balanced lives together.

Jeannie is a honors graduate of Dartmouth College in NH, and she received a masters at Brown University. In keeping up with the spirit and values of liberal arts education, she attended a variety of schools throughout the US and Europe to expand her knowledge one what she describes as, "a genuine interest in global culture and diversity. She likes to keep her mind open without judgment and listen deeply to what people have to share." Her professional certifications include other interests, and as a busy and versatile entrepreneur, she still holds dear to her heart the training and development of her personal dogs and dogs in special needs. In New York, for example, Jeannie spends her free time working alongside a veteran animal behaviorist, Polly Hanson, who is well-known for her gentle, effective and in-depth work with dogs in Long Island. Currently Jeannie volunteers her free time with Ms. Hanson to provide free dog trainings and career change opportunities to guide dogs or puppies who have been released from guide dog schooling.
